UV Stabilizer are chemical compounds that are able to interfere with the physical and chemical process of UV light induce degradation. It is used to protect or prevent degradation from UV rays to extend the service life of end products. PTMB offers a wide range of UV stabilizer masterbatches that covers various polymer applications.

PET is a material with good barrier properties for many food, home, health care and personal care products. In many cases, it offers sufficient protection during the required shelf-life of these products. However, to improve the product protection from UV light, a UV barrier additive is required to protect the packed materials. PTMB UV Barrier is highly effective and blocks UV transmission hence protecting the products from damaging.

PTMB antioxidant masterbatches help to maintain the physical and optical property by maintaining shine and transparency, and prevent yellowing, surface cracking and odors.

Acetaldehyde is a common PET contaminant generated during PET bottle manufacture. AA Reducer is  an organic chemical based masterbatch which is used to reduce the concentration of acetaldehyde in the PET bottles. Higher AA content in packaging product will change the taste of packed food products like water, soft drink and some juices. Traces of acetaldehyde in mineral water result in an off flavor. The odor threshold of acetaldehyde in water is between 10 µg/L and 25 µg/L.

PTMB fresh plus contain silver ion that acts as a catalyst in converting ethylene to ethylene oxide to neutralize or keep low ethylene level up to 10 ppb.  Ethylene oxide is known as biocide, fungicide and algaecide which is food safe for low level.

PTMB Lifeguard Ethylene absorbers are especially used to extend the shelf life of climacteric fruits such as apples, kiwi, apricots, bananas, mangoes, cucumbers, tomatoes and avocados, and vegetables such as carrots & potatoes.

PTMB VCI additives is based on the mixture of week acid salt of aliphatic amines concentrated which is used to protect ferrous and most non-ferrous metals from the deteriorating effects of corrosion. Weak acid and weak salts exit as loose salts and any acidic vapors diffusing in packaging material then effectively neutralized by amine.
